Iphone down the pan!

Literally!! Fished it out so only in there for a few seconds.
Turned it off, leaving it for 24-48 hrs before turning it on and hoping for the best!
Any advise? Somebody mentioned rice to absorb the water? Also been told Apple to a like for like replacement of 250 quid for an iphone 6, anybody confirm? Gonna visit a store this afternoon if possible.

Put it in some rice overnight and a friendly Asian will come along and fix it.

Never happened to me personally but think it was on Discovery channel put it in a container of rice for about 24 hours job done

I remember dropping my work phone down into the urinal at Camden Underworld - took some deep breaths and fished it out then rinsed it and washed my arms in the sink.
A night on the radiator on the phone was just fine. The Nokia 6110 was a tough bastard of a phone

I dropped my iPhone in a swimming pool. I fished it out after a few minutes, gave it a wipe and carried on using it.

Reminds of the time a mate of mine came to a home game with me few years back, brought him in to sample the delights of the Boleyn boozer for a few beers beforehand
He comes back from the toilets and tells me he dropped his hip flask down the pan, fishes it out (which must have been fucking grim!) gave it a rinse under the tap and drank it all during the game.

Wrap in a tea towel, put in the oven on a lowish heat 140-160 degrees for 30 - 45 mins. Worked for me. It is a kill or cure situation though, could end up even more fucked.

I got a windows phone… I dropped it down the bog the 1st week I had it… I just used a wiper blade to get the moisture off

Put it in a preheated oven for 180c (gas mark 4), for about 45 mins.
If you're in a rush, microwave on full power for 5 mins.

OTB - quite right. Ideally a Belgian "blonde" beer and not for more than twenty-six minutes. 30% increase of success if the repairer is affecting a hat.
